Michelle Ramirez, LCSW-C. Frederick, Maryland.

Hi! I’m Michelle.

I was born in New Jersey and raised in the DC suburbs of Maryland. After high school I decided to explore someplace new and graduated in 2008 with a BA in Psychology from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. After graduation, I returned home to complete my Master’s in Social Work degree in 2010 at CUA in DC. I then spent some time living in Western Maryland before settling in Frederick County, where I’ve truly found home. Although - I still love visiting Omaha every year!

I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside people in many different chapters of life—through my work in schools, domestic violence programs, working together with families in foster care, in outpatient mental health clinics, and private practice. Each experience deepened my belief in the power of healing through connection.

In therapy, I believe in meeting you exactly where you are. Come as you are—talk about as much or as little as you feel ready for. You can swear, cry, laugh, eat - I’m here for all of it.

While not in therapy I love spending time with my husband and three girls. They convinced me that rescuing a dog last year would be a good idea and I must say, he has been amazing. So I enjoy cuddles with him, too. Dogs can be therapeutic, right?
